Kristy originally studied chemical engineering and business administration at Michigan Tech University. After working for over 5 years as an engineer in the pharmaceutical industry, she made the decision to go back to school to become a physical therapist. After volunteering in an outpatient orthopedic clinic, she knew a career in physical therapy would bring her personal gratification while helping many others.
She graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Oakland University in 2010. Since that time, she has gained valuable experience working in the outpatient orthopedic setting, treating primarily post-operative diagnoses for the ankle/foot, knee, hip and spine. She loves working with high-level young athletes, pregnant and post-natal women as well as women dealing with the physical changes and challenges of a hysterectomy.
Outside of physical therapy, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, camping and participating in youth sports.
